Dance Class Information
Please ensure that you read the terms and conditions of enrolment before joining the Academy. These rules apply to all pupils, including those who currently attend classes.
Parents should be aware that due to the nature of dance training, physical correction is sometimes necessary.
Students should conduct themselves in a well disciplined manner whilst attending classes and show respect to teachers and fellow students. Rudeness and bullying in any form will not be tolerated.
Fees and Payment
Parents are invoiced each half term. The number of weeks is dependant on the amount of weeks in each half term.
Classes should be paid for by cash BACS transfer or cheque – cheques payable to ‘Lucy Harper’.
All fees are due in NO LATER than the second week of term. Fees not received by then will result in a late payment charge being added to your invoice.
If your child is new, the first trial lesson will be given at half price to be paid on the day. Following that, any classes attended will be invoiced as normal.
Half a terms notice is required if stopping a class. If sufficient notice is not received, half a terms fees will still be charged.
Parents are not permitted to watch classes during term time. At the end of the autumn and summer terms parents will be invited to watch to see their child’s’ progress.
Children are entered for ISTD Cecchetti ballet, modern and tap exams at the teachers discretion. We ask that students and parents respect the teacher’s decision. Exams are not compulsory and children are able to take part in classes without the pressure of exams if they wish, progressing to the next class when an acceptable standard has been reached.
Taking an exam is a commitment and will require children to attend extra coaching lessons in the run up to the exam.
Older students can gain extra UCAS points for university entrance for some exams – please see Mrs. Harper for more information.
Teachers are not responsible for any items left at venues. Please leave valuables at home and check you have everything with you on leaving class.
On joining the Academy parents will be asked to sign our terms and conditions.
